Last Night of the Proms in the Quarry

Following the bad weather last Friday this is the new date for this event and tickets are still available.

THIS IS A TICKET ONLY EVENT.  TICKETS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON THE GATE.

Lydbrook Band, in association with Forest of Dean Stone Firms Ltd, present "Proms in the Quarry". 
 
This is a once in a lifetime event to enter a working quarry to enjoy a summer's evening concert, whilst being serenaded by the magnificent and naturally amplified brass sounds of Lydbrook Band.

Arrive from 5.30pm and walk into the depths of the quarry for this unique event in a magnificent natural amphitheatre. The entertainment will start at 6.30pm and for the Last Night of the Proms the band will be joined by Soprano vocalist Josie O'Driscoll who will lead the singing of all your Proms favourites.

Barnhill stone quarry is the largest of its kind in the Forest of Dean and you won't want to miss this exciting Proms concert.

Food and refreshments will be on sale (burgers, hotdogs, soft drinks)
Don’t forget to bring a chair as seating is not provided.

This is a working quarry and the terrain is sadly not suitable for wheelchair access.  Help with transport from the parking area into the quarry will be available for those with walking difficulties.  Please make sure suitable footwear is worn.  Toilets are available.

This event is weather dependent and if cancelled a full refund will be given.  Please return your ticket to Barbara with a SAE and your money will be re-funded in full.  Instructions will be sent by email for refunds for online ticket sales should this be necessary.

Entrance to the Quarry & Car Parking

The quarry is accessed off the B4226.  Driving from Cannop crossroads towards Broadwell, proceed up the hill for about half a mile and the entrance to Barnhill Quarry is on your left hand side, about 100 metres before you get to the council recycling centre.

If coming from Broadwell crossroads, come down the hill about a quarter of a mile, past the council recycling depot on your left.  The entrance to Barnhill Quarry is on your right hand side, 100 metres past the recycling centre.

Car Park

Drive up the lane from the main road (about 150 yards) and the car park is on the top of the quarry.  The Forest of Dean and Severn Lions will be in charge of car parking and will be on hand to help out.

SORRY BUT IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO LEAVE YOUR CAR ON SITE OVERNIGHT
