Belated congratulations on the GBBA result. I (Elwyn) was having a not very good day, so I wasn't there to enjoy.

Best of luck at Weymouth this weekend. Don't go swanning off to Almondsbury anyone and missing your blow.

Good to hear from you Andrew and to see that you are still following the band's progress. I don't think Roy Newsome came to Lydbrook but I'm sure you remember the great time we had with him and Philip Wilby when you were secretary of the GBBA and we organised the National Youth band course and concerts in Gloucester Cathedral and Monmouth School. What year was that? Look forward to seeing you at the GBBA contest on the 20th November and glad you haven't lost your sense of humour!!

great to see the band doing so well i didnt know about it but i would have loved to have been at the wilby concert  thats my kind of concert .i met roy newsome on a few occasions and was sad to hear of his passing .im trying to recall wether or not he came to lydbrook though i dont think he did.however he was a great inffluence to us all.i dont get much chance these days to attend events but if im free ill come and support you at the gbba . its great to follow you on this new site which is not only a credit to the the band but typical of lydbrooks proffessional endeavour. well done and happy xmas to you all.

ps forgive my spelling mistakes . i was a student at the cannop college of further knowlege where acorn picking was a prime subject and reading and writing was put on the back burner.

Great to have all sections of the website up and running and again many thanks to Sally, Emily and Mark for their work on this.  My experience of websites is that not many people contribute to it, so let's all join in with comments on the guest book and any items/photos for the news section or gallery.
